Go green? 1200 limos, 54 private jets converge on Copenhagen

Well, if you're a delegate to the Copenhagen climate change conference and you going to demand that the rest of the world sacrifice in the name of global warming, that doesn't mean that you have to.

We polis will never understand. It's hard work trying to save the world and our betters who are going to Copenhagen to decide the fate of the planet deserve every luxury our tax dollars can afford.

That said, this might be a bit much, as the Telegraph's Andrew Gilligan explains:

On a normal day, Majken Friss Jorgensen, managing director of Copenhagen's biggest limousine company, says her firm has twelve vehicles on the road. During the "summit to save the world", which opens here tomorrow, she will have 200.
"We thought they were not going to have many cars, due to it being a climate convention," she says. "But it seems that somebody last week looked at the weather report."

Ms Jorgensen reckons that between her and her rivals the total number of limos in Copenhagen next week has already broken the 1,200 barrier. The French alone rang up on Thursday and ordered another 42. "We haven't got enough limos in the country to fulfil the demand," she says. "We're having to drive them in hundreds of miles from Germany and Sweden."
And the total number of electric cars or hybrids among that number? "Five," says Ms Jorgensen. "The government has some alternative fuel cars but the rest will be petrol or diesel. We don't have any hybrids in Denmark, unfortunately, due to the extreme taxes on those cars. It makes no sense at all, but it's very Danish."

The airport says it is expecting up to 140 extra private jets during the peak period alone, so far over its capacity that the planes will have to fly off to regional airports - or to Sweden - to park, returning to Copenhagen to pick up their VIP passengers.

Some of those VIP's include Leonardo De Caprio, Desmond Tutu, and Prince Charles, who has taken time out from his busy schedule waiting for his mother to croak to attend.

How anyone can possibly take these mountebanks seriously is beyond me.

I am a citizen of the United States of America, natural born, and proud to call myself an American.

Today I write to you to convey simple, clear, and direct thoughts to you on the day you’ve chosen to cower before all of Islam.

You are the elected civilian commander-in-chief of the greatest military ever to put its boots on the ground. Yet you choose to shame its legacy and, by default, every fruit earned with blood and treasure in our Name.

It is clear to me that your own shame is the reason for the season of your discontent toward our military, a dedicated body of our own citizens devoted to duty, honor, and our Nation– the defense of which knows no bounds.

You have never served anybody but yourself. Our military is the essence of service to others, no matter the human flaws it may demonstrate, suffer, or perpetuate: I for one am in awe of our men and women under arms and the service they have performed since our founding over 200 years ago.

Without our military doing what it had to do in the past century, your precious Indonesia and your temporary home in Hawaii would have been dominated by the brutal feudal traditions of Japan.

You have not a sense of gratitude for how different your own life would have been without Leathernecks, Airmen, Navy men and women, and Army sacrifices.

You have never served anybody but yourself.

And this is a source of shame for any human being, whether it is acknowledged inside themselves or not. You know the truth. You look at abundant military presence in Washington D.C. and you know you cannot do justice to the salutes coming your way.

You see the polished brass, the executive skills developing daily among military staff and liaison officers, the poise and precision of any member of the Joint Chiefs— a lifetime of dedication to the Flag and the blood patriots past, a willingness to endure anything served to them by a vast chain of command from whence they rose by paying costly dues— you see this tradition and you know you don’t measure up, cannot hold a candle to, and don't even know how to polish your own shoes as these warriors can do in their sleep.

You have never served anybody but yourself.

And now, you have an opportunity to be selfless as commander-in-chief of the once standing young soldier felled by a follower of Islam, by a vindictive, pre-meditated bullet round.

You have failed him, his family, and our Country as you preen and prance before your false idol of Islam. Your actions curse our Nation with your shame. A lost little boy in a very big chair, an immature college kid who cut a deal to run the big show. An impostor who has abdicated his responsibilities to respond with the full martial resource at his disposal against the perverse distortion of a religion into a metastizing political cancer called Islam.

The Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America is obligated to send a stark and searing message to Islam today: Do Not Tread on Me.

A real Commander-In-Chief would have the Somali coast lit up and left in ruins in response to the trafficking in terrorist training that led to this pre-meditated act of war on US soil. A real Commander-in-Chief would initiate drone attacks over Yemen to once and for all kill the trainers who hide in mosques, without one solitary consideration about what world opinion or the rancid snake pit UN would say in response.

A real Commander-in-Chief orders the death of our enemies when we are attacked. Your predecessor whom you chide was a real Commander-in-Chief at great personal cost. Lincoln was a real Commander-In-Chief at great personal cost far beyond your foolish and juvenile standing, making even the ultimate sacrifice for his country.

Your shame will keep you from doing nothing but groveling in a suit before the Lords of Islam. You never left Islam. You practice Islam in your deceitful ways.

You disgrace life by embracing your precious Islam, Barry Soetoro. You disgrace the present day aspirations of our Nation to continue influencing the course of the world in the way that we were meant to.

But a disgrace can only disgrace. Carry on, Mr. President. In the end, and your Presidency will end, you will have to look your commanders in the eyes and beg them— and you will beg because you do not realize they live to serve this Nation— to save your sorry ass.

Defense Dept. Hires Leader of Pro-Terror Muslim Group as FORT HOOD Instructor

Prepare to be infuriated.

There is somebody in the the Defense Department who needs a brain transplant. According to Andy McCarthy, less than one month after an Islamist terrorist shot and Killed 14 people at Fort Hood, some brain surgeon in hired someone who promotes Islamist terrorism to lecture about Islam at Fort Hood.

It's been brought to my attention by several reliable sources that the Defense Department has brought Louay Safi to Fort Hood as an instructor, and that he has been lecturing on Islam to our troops in Fort Hood who are about to deploy to Afghanistan. Safi is a top official of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), and served as research director at the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT).

Worse, last evening, Safi was apparently permitted to present a check (evidently on behalf of ISNA) to the families of the victims of last month's Fort Hood massacre. A military source told the blogger Barbarossa at the Jawa Report: "This is nothing short of blood money. This is criminal and the Ft. Hood base commander should be fired right now."

ISNA was identified by the Justice Department at the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing conspiracy trial as an unindicted co-conspirator and part of the international terrorist organization the Muslim Brotherhood, when they balked at that designation the FBI release the documents to prove it:

....prosecutors listed a series of checks routed by ISNA to HLF, often dedicated for "Palestinian Mujahideen" in the memo line. The military wing of Hamas initially was referred to as the Palestinian Mujahideen, prosecutors said.


Internal documents released at the trial show ISNA's founders had been leaders of the Muslim Students Association, which also was founded by Muslim Brotherhood members who came to the U.S. for college. In addition to introducing all the financial transactions between ISNA/NAIT and HLF, prosecutors introduced a Muslim Brotherhood "Explanatory Memorandum" on the group's goals, as the document explains:

The process of settlement is a "Civilization-Jihadist Process" with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal.

ISNA is the first U.S.-based organization listed under a section titled "A list of our organizations and the organizations of our friends."

In their brief, prosecutors continue in describing the Explanatory Memorandum:

At the end of the document, the memorandum lists those Muslim Brotherhood organizations that – if they all worked together – could help accomplish this grand objective. These organizations include ISNA, NAIT, the Occupied Land Fund (OLF)(the former name of the Holy Land Foundation), the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR), and others.

At ISNA's annual convention in Washington in July, one speaker, Imam Warith Deen Umar, criticized Obama for having two Jewish people — Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod — in the White House. "Why do this small number of people have control of the world?" he said, according to a IPT transcript. He said the Holocast was punishment for Jews "because they were serially disobedient to Allah."
Safi, the ISNA leader sent to Fort Hood has history of financially supporting and encouraging terrorism to create a world-wide Islamic caliphate:

As noted in this 2003 Frontpage report, 2002 search warrant links Safi to an entity called the "Safa Group." The Safa Group has never been charged with a crime, but the affidavit allegest its involvement in moving large sums of money to terrorist fronts. Safi was also caught on an FBI wiretap of Sami al-Arian, a former leader in the murderous Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). The year was 1995, and the topic of the discussion between Safi and al-Arian was Safi's concern that President Clinton's executive order prohibiting financial transactions with terrorist organizations would negatively affect al-Arian. More recently, al-Arian has been convicted of conspiring to provide material support to terrorism.

...In a 2003 publication, "Peace and the Limits of War," Safi wrote, "The war against the apostates [non-believers of Islam] is carried out not to force them to accept Islam, but to enforce the Islamic law and maintain order."

He also wrote, "It is up to the Muslim leadership to assess the situation and weigh the circumstances as well as the capacity of the Muslim community before deciding the appropriate type of jihad. At one stage, Muslims may find that jihad, through persuasion or peaceful resistance, is the best and most effective method to achieve just peace." Obama Must Boycott Copenhagen!

Sen. Jim Inhofe comments are what we need right now! What if American Tax Payers were forced to pay for President Nixon to go to a Star Trek Convention? Obama must protest the Copenhagen Fraud Convention. For those of us who really did listen to Soetero's word's when he ran for Office, would remember his support of the Al Gore Frauds.

CNSNews.com - Sen. Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, ranking Republican on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, says it is “dishonest” for President Barack Obama to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen next week to announce that the United States will cap its carbon emissions because legislation to do so has no chance of passing in Congress.

The White House announced on November 26 that Obama will personally attend the climate summit on December 9 and announce there that the U.S. intends by the year 2020 to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions to 17 percent below what they were in 2005. This 17% reduction mirrors the reduction that would be mandated in the United States if the cap-and-trade bill that passed the House by a 219-212 vote on June 26 were enacted into law.

Cap-and-trade legislation has stalled in the Senate, however, and Inhofe told CNSNews.com in a video interview this week that he is certain it will not even get a Senate vote during this Congress.

When asked if he predicted that the cap-and-trade bill would not come up for a Senate vote in this Congress, Inhofe said: “Yes, I do. Absolutely. It cannot come up. It won’t come up.”

Inhofe estimated that at this point carbon-capping legislation may have as few as 28 Senate supporters, while sixty votes are needed in the Senate to end debate on a bill and bring it to a final vote.

“They need 60 votes. They’re not even halfway there. And they know this,” Inhofe said of the Senate advocates of carbon-capping legislation.

In light of this, Inhofe said it is “dishonest” of Obama to go to Copenhagen and tell the world that the U.S. will cap carbon emissions.

“I think it is dishonest for him to go,” Inhofe told CNSNews.com. “I know that’s a strong word. But if he goes, we have seen what he is going to release there. He’s going to say that the United States of America will commit themselves to reducing our CO2 emissions by 17% by the year 2020. Now, that’s essentially the Markey bill--the Waxman-Markley bill that passed--the same targets. And yet he knows when he says that, that we’re not going to pass it.”

The cap-and-trade bill that passed the House in June was sponsored by House Energy and Commerce Chairman Henry Waxman (D.-Calif.) and Rep. Ed Markey (D.-Mass.), who chairs the House Subcommittee on Energy and Environment.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from Dec. 7 through Dec. 18. More than 190 nations are expected to participate. The original agenda of the conference was to finalize an international climate-change treaty in which the nations of the world would pledge to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions to targeted maximum levels. The hypothesis behind the proposed treaty is that if all the nations of the world curtail carbon emissions it will reduce the chances that the planet will catastrophically overheat as a result of human industry.

Last month, at the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Singapore, leaders of some of the key nations that will be attending the Copenhagen summit decided to postpone finalizing a treaty at Copenhagen and instead seek a “politically binding” agreement that would form the basis for a climate-change treaty that would be finalized next year.

“There was an assessment by the leaders that it is unrealistic to expect a full internationally, legally binding agreement to be negotiated between now and Copenhagen, which starts in 22 days,” White House Deputy National Security Adviser Michael Froman told the New York Times on Nov. 15. The Times reported then that a major obstacle to obtaining a treaty at Copenhagen was the fact that the U.S. Congress had not enacted a bill to cap carbon emissions in this country.

Inhofe said that he has done interviews recently with European media outlets that seem not to understand that Obama cannot cap carbon emissions by U.S. industries without securing legislation from Congress.

“There saying: Well, the president says you are going to do this,” said Inhofe. “They don’t understand that the president has to bring something like that in our government system--this is not a king, this is a president--and he has to bring anything like that to Congress,” said Inhofe.

The current Left -- or the Socialists -- in Europe were born out of the fire of revolution and war. They came from a determination to change a historical and implacable social order, a drive to ensure that causes of two devastating continental wars in the twentieth century never recurred.

The Left in the United States, while professing commonality with their European counterparts, has evolved out of peace, economic prosperity, and a determination to impose a rigid social order under the guise of classless society.

European Socialism, while desirous of guaranteeing equality of outcome and opposed to unfettered capitalism, nonetheless recognizes the essential role that free enterprise plays in the economic well-being of the people by providing jobs and the funds needed to support government programs.

The American Left understands that unbridled capitalism is the engine that assures and promotes individual liberty and freedom. Therefore, free enterprise must ultimately be overthrown and replaced by a state-controlled economy if the Left is to create a social utopia.

Europe has had a recent history of megalomaniacal dictators, all-powerful central governments, and the devastation they caused, as well as hands-on experience with Marxism/Communism. Thus, they developed their own hybrid Left, who have a limited philosophical connection to the tenets of Marx or Lenin.

On the other hand, the current iteration of the Left in the United States has its roots in Marxism: class struggle to overturn the oppression under capitalism into a socialist and ultimately classless society by any means possible.

The Left in today's America is made up of two groups: the minority is the true believers, and the majority is those who have been duped into supporting the movement as a result of various social or behavioral factors.

While small in number, the true believers are self-evident. They unabashedly proclaim their animosity toward the United States. With all possible fanfare, they state their support for the poor and oppressed. They never run out of different ways to tell the world how smart they are, and thus capable of leading the proletariat to the Promised Land. Yet they are devoid of humor, sensitivity, and the ability to connect or relate to the average American.

In order to foment class warfare, the hardcore Left overtly and shamelessly exploit envy, race, and ignorance. They are always portraying government as the savior and downplay stories of actual and provable ineptitude or corruption. Instead, they exaggerate real (or even imagined) reports of capitalistic greed and dishonesty. The Left self-righteously use these anecdotes to "prove" that all enterprise must be controlled by a powerful central government.

The truly dedicated on the Left are shameless in making promises they cannot keep, and they defend this deception as the ends justifying the means. But above all, they are relentless in doing whatever is necessary -- including bankrupting the country --to achieve their objective: namely, power for the sake of power.

The college campus bubble has long been the incubator of the Left. No society could match the insular and unaccountable nature of this environment. The fruits of capitalism have paid the salaries of those who have never experienced the responsibility of employing others, creating wealth, or producing a product in a competitive worldwide or national marketplace.

In addition, the United States in its 228-year history has never experienced adversity on the scale suffered by Europe 65 years ago in World War II, or the ravages of communism as recently as twenty years ago. It has therefore been quite easy over the years for the so-called intelligentsia to sit in faculty lounges and coffee shops waxing eloquent about the ideal of a classless society -- led, of course, by those who have the best interests of society at heart: namely, the intellectuals themselves.

The foremost of these true believers are now in power in Washington, D.C. They are being led by President Obama, who had to wait until his election to reveal his real agenda and his fealty to the philosophy of the self-named Progressive movement (a kinder, gentler appellation than "Socialist" or "the Left").

However, the president and his appointed or elected cohorts would not be in a position to forever change the future of the United States by relegating it to a secondary world status were it not for the duped Leftists, who function as enablers for the movement at large.

In the 1960s a social revolution took place against historical and societal norms. An era of peace and prosperity unprecedented in the history of mankind was underway in the United States, allowing a new generation to focus on hedonistic pursuits, self-aggrandizement, and a search for "meaning" in their lives.

The heavy lifting and sacrifice that created this economic boom made the United States the dominant military power in the world. This hard work was done by previous generations who maintained a fealty to the traditions that allowed the country to achieve greatness and permitted their progeny to live a better life.

It was these traditions, based on the religious foundation of the country and the societal mores which sprang from them, that came to be viewed as standing in the way of allowing the population to experience absolute freedom. The very necessary civil rights movement, which achieved so much, was hijacked by many of the post-Depression generation into a call to overthrow all of society's norms.

Coupled with the Johnson administration's mishandling of the Vietnam War, a broad movement began. It was promptly seized upon by the true believers of the Left as a recruiting pool; Leftists proclaimed to the gullible that the United States was an unjust, repressive tool of capitalism. The siren song of a classless society wherein all are treated fairly and there are no absolutes found eager ears.

Over the intervening years and into the present, the fear (as promoted by the Left) of the so-called religious right's and conservatives' desire to turn the United States into a theocracy became the basis for many of the gullible to promote the policies of the Progressives without understanding what they in fact stood for. It was more important to protect their lifestyles than comprehend what was happening around them, or the controlling agenda they unwittingly support.

For example, the health care reform bill presently under debate in Congress and promoted by President Obama is not about health care reform at all. Rather, it is an attempt to ultimately control the behavior of the citizenry. Once government controls the access to and cost of medical treatments, it can dictate what behavior is acceptable under the guise of controlling expenditures.

Thus, those among the gullible who have faithfully supported the Left may well find the very behavior they deem so central to their lives outlawed by the government. The religious right attempted to use only moral suasion, not the force of law.

Also within the enablers of the Left are those who search for meaning by adopting various causes, such as "save the earth" or the elimination of all nuclear weapons. These movements have been successfully promoted by the Progressives. Living lives of comparative ease, it was simple to use guilt over their status to entice the mostly upper-middle class to sign on to these causes.

Little did the gullible affluent understand how they were manipulated into supporting an agenda that will destroy their and their children's standard of living and security. The nuclear disarmament movement is clear in its objective to render the United States defenseless, and global warming is increasingly being revealed as a hoax manipulated by unethical scientists for money and promoted by the Left as a political agenda item to redistribute wealth.

The carbon cap-and-trade bills advanced by President Obama will accomplish only two things: increase enormously the cost of energy and dramatically reduce everyone's standard of living. Couple that bill with much higher proposed income and user taxes, and the administration moves a step closer to accomplishing a major Marxist goal: reduce all to one economic class.

Within eight years, the policies of the Left in Washington, D.C. will result in the national debt of the United States exceeding 100% of the gross domestic product, putting the United States in the same category as the most mismanaged of third-world nations. The dollar will be worth perhaps half of what it is today, the standard of living will decline nearly as much, and we will no longer be able to afford a military that can protect us from those who wish us harm.

It is critical that the majority within the American Left understand the direction and endgame of the true believers in their movement. Their only true interest is in controlling the United States and all of its citizens. Look to the actual experiences of those in Russia and Eastern Europe -- people who lived under the system the truly dedicated Progressives desire to emulate -- and compare their experiences to the life and standard of living you now enjoy. If you do, you will join the rest of us in making certain the United States remains the land of individual rights and freedom.
