Take care children; fairy tales can come true

Once upon a time, long ago and far away, in the dark decades of the last century, this writer attended the first grade in Miss James’ class.

She read us Mother Goose stories and Grimm’s Fairy Tales and acted out the parts of the different animals with facial expressions and sound effects. I loved Miss James.

Grimm’s Fairy Tales were written in words that a first grader could understand. And, they invariably ended with an object lesson that made a lasting impression on us. Often, there were scary references and examples of cruelty but, these only served to emphasize the point of the lesson.

Fast forward to today: We have painful evidence that fairy tales can come true and that our worst nightmares can indeed, come to life. Is there a more scary or more cruel fairy tale than the one we are currently experiencing here in our own beloved America?

The one titled, “Obama and the Great Hope & Change Hoax” .

Please make it go away, Miss James.

Liberty Counsel stands behind Chick-fil-A and its president, Dan Cathy, regarding Cathy’s recent statement supporting natural marriage as the union of one man and one woman. And we denounce the actions of leftist politicians who have threatened illegal discriminatory action against the Chick-fil-A organization!

Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy said he believes in the natural, biblical view of marriage as being between one man and one woman.

How, in America, could that viewpoint possibly be considered controversial or discriminatory?

Have our nation’s values and culture collapsed that far?

Apparently, liberal politicians like Chicago’s Mayor Rahm Emanuel think so. Upon hearing of Cathy’s stand, radical pro-homosexual organizations and sympathizers immediately began calling for boycotts, “kiss-ins,” and other types of protests against the family-friendly national chain of restaurants.

Then, government officials from major U.S. cities like Chicago and Boston said they plan to prevent Chick-fil-A from opening new restaurants in their jurisdictions.

Demanding a public apology from Cathy, Chicago Alderman Joe Moreno said that he will deny Chick-fil-A from opening a restaurant in Chicago’s Logan Square. Boston Mayor Thomas Menino told the Boston Herald that he would block Chick-fil-A from opening a restaurant in the “Cradle of Liberty.”

Never one to “let a good crisis go to waste,” Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel followed suit. Emanuel’s statement that “Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago’s values” was both legally ignorant and ill-advised. Emanuel, the former Chief of Staff at the Obama White House, surely knows that viewpoint discrimination violates federal Civil Rights statutes!

++These threats of action and discrimination against Chick-fil-A because of the viewpoint of its owner are not only illegal – they are toxic to every business and businessman in America!

To deny business permits or zoning approvals to Chick-fil-A because the president of the privately-owned family business expressed his biblical view of natural marriage is outrageous.

Any city trying to ban Chick-fil-A will not win this battle. If this discrimination is challenged in court – Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino will be eating crow, and in large portions! Even the ACLU condemned the knee-jerk announcements by ultraliberal Mayors Emanuel and Menino!

These government officials ought to be ashamed. For a public official to threaten denial of a right to do business because the president of a private company supports natural marriage is the height of stupidity and intolerance.

Unfortunately, their response is typical of intolerant homosexual activists. They will go to any lengths to silence the majority of Americans who believe that children do best when raised in a natural family with one mom and one dad.

The intolerance displayed by these leftist government officials ought to serve as a wakeup call to the majority of Americans who support the commonsense understanding of natural marriage.

With friends like these . . .

If Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton are Israel’s best friends – what does that make the Liberal Jews in this country who adore them? I’ll answer that one for you: It makes them friends of their enemies. Now, what in hell kind of sense does that make?

It strikes me that when people refer to Jews as, ‘God’s Chosen People’, there is just a bit of irony in that. Certainly, there is a preponderance of members of the Jewish faith who try to live their lives according to the admonishments chiseled into the stone tablet of the Ten Commandments. But, there are those – and I include all Jews who hew to the Democrat Party B.S. and who swallow hook, line and sinker the lies and distortions of fact that are part and parcel of Progressivism in this country – these are the Jews with whom I take strong issue..

The legions of clueless or careless (does it matter, which?) Jews in this region of Florida – those in particular who follow in lock-step the corrupted preaching of their Leftist Rabbis, are way off the track. Those who learned to imitate those onerous sucking sounds by closely following the example of then Congressman Robert Wexler, Bill Clinton’s Number One ‘suck-up’ – are obviously, still partaking in that vile practice.

Followers of Wexler and his hand-picked, suck-cessor stooge Ted Deutch, have only themselves to blame for the corrosive results of their folly. “J”Streeters and those who subscribe either knowingly or blindly to this effort to emasculate Israel are complicit in this most heinous crime against legitimate Jewry. It is easy to side with Democrat ‘Progressives’ from the warmth, comfort and security enjoyed by contemporary Jewish-American citizens who think of themselves as avant garde thinkers.

Unfettered exposure to the affluence of the good life since they attended a Liberal university in this land of plenty, has worked to anesthetize a sense of reality in far too many of our ‘Chosen People’. They evidently feel as if they can join-in the currently fashionable movement to neutralize the sovereign State of Israel, without consequences to themselves. Sorry Kids, that ain’t the way it works. Those who join in this game will find themselves in the company of Marxists, Socialists, Communists, Fascists and thugs of radical Islam. And if and when they look for the EXIT sign, they’ll find that there isn’t one. How’s that grab ya, Dudes?

I repeat – with best friends like Obama and Hillary – with friends like these . . .

Masturbation by Pontification

It should come as a surprise to no one that Obama (okay, President Barack Hussein Obama) is totally mesmerized by the sound of his own voice. He is his own Pied Piper.

He would far rather listen to himself pontificate in front of a hand-selected audience of psicko-fants than do almost anything else. Running a very close second to listening to his own voice, would be – mincing down the stairs of Air Force One as he arrives at an exotic destination, saluting the Marine guards like a girly-man and racing off toward his caravan of SUVs, accompanied by a widely-smiling, highly-animated Air Force officer chosen for the job because of his (or her) ability to make sucking sounds while on the run.

Don’t get me wrong, I have the highest respect for the Office of the President. But, I do genuinely long for the good ‘ol days when I felt the same degree of respect for the person holding that office. When the gawky Charmer-in-Chief bounds onto a stage in front of one of the aforementioned, hand-picked audiences that have been pre-qualified and indoctrinated under threat of ‘consequences’ for not emoting according to the ‘Code of Prescribed Response to the Utterings of The One’ – he is a sight to behold. His affected, ‘Hard-working-Everyman’ appearance as evidenced by his rolled-up shirtsleeves and missing necktie, is calculated in his mind at least, to give the impression that he is, ‘one of us’. Just a regular Joe Biden, kinda guy.

Well, we all know the truth, don’t we? Obama is the top-of-the-line prime example of Narcissism Gone Wild, on steroids. He is nonpareil. He has no equal in the self-love department. He lives and breathes to hear the sound of his own voice. It is food and drink to him. The subject matter of his spewing forth, the content of the message – - none of that matters a whit. He exists only to pontificate. Ergo, masturbation by pontification.

Hey, everybody is entitled to enjoy a hobby. But in November, let’s hire a guy with a work ethic whose hobby is creation, not destruction. Someone who understands the bottom line as opposed to someone who only understands how to flap his gums while working a ‘rope line’.
