Louisiana Government Destroys 1,600 Pounds of Deer Meat Given to Homeless People

Caring Hunters and homeless people in Louisiana are righteously outraged after state health officials forced a homeless shelter to throw out nearly a ton of perfectly good venison meat.

The meat that had been donated to the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission could have fed more than 3,000 people. Instead, it was tossed in trash bins by reckless officials from the Department of Health and Hospitals who say that state law prohibits the serving of venison in homeless shelters.

Not only did the ignorant officials toss the meat, they doused it with Clorox to make sure it couldn’t be eaten by animals or, presumably, people.

“Deer meat is not permitted to be served in a shelter, restaurant or any other public eating establishment in Louisiana,” an official told Fox News in an email. “While we applaud the good intentions of the hunters who donated this meat, we must protect the people who eat at the Rescue Mission, and we cannot allow a potentially serious health threat to endanger the public.”

Richard Campbell, co-founder of Hunters for the Hungry, a charitable group that donates wild game to shelters, said hunters across the state and in Mississippi are outraged about the statement and the waste.

The state’s health Gestapo got involved after someone at the shelter complained about being fed deer meat, a staple in many countries across the globe and considered by most people to be a treat or a delicacy.

I don’t know what’s wrong with Louisiana, but in California, turning down venison would be like turning down a lobster tail with drawn butter — it’s something that sane people who aren’t vegetarians just wouldn’t do.

The director of the mission said they’ve been serving venison for years. The shelter, by the way, doesn’t take any government money. It’s completely self-sufficient thanks to its donors.

“This was really good meat,” said the Rev. Henry Martin. “It’s high in protein and low in cholesterol. It’s very healthy. … You would think we would have due process. But they meant to destroy the meat – that’s for sure.”

Louisiana hunters participating in the state’s deer management programs are allowed to keep as much meat as they can handle. Martin’s mission asks hunters to donate the rest. The donated meat is processed at a local meat plant.

State Rep. Jeff Thompson called the destruction of the meat “insulting,” and he’s right.

Only a truly callous bureaucracy could dare pretend to care about the homeless then turn around and destroy food intended for the needy, for no real reason other than “because” that’s what the rules say.

I’m sure you recognize the excuse — used to justify evil deeds, from the treatment of slaves to the rounding up of Native Americans to the Holocaust. You hear it from bureaucrats at all levels, from bus drivers to presidents. It’s an expression of contempt for the rights and needs of the common man.

In the case of the meat destruction, it’s also an illegal taking of property for which the mission needs to be compensated.

An apology is the least that the state should be doling out for this Kafkaesque assault on the homeless and on common sense.

Tax Breaks for The Hollywood Hypocrites

The director Steven Spielberg is not a Patriot. He will take your American dollars yet he openly supported the Regime at Election time. Vile Steven Spielberg could have put the movie “Lincoln” out prior to the election to show how Obama is the complete opposite of Abraham Lincoln. Instead Vile Steven Spielberg help the movie back and too the tax breaks from the Regime.

We also read where Glenn Harlan Reynolds exposed Hollywood hypocrisy over taxes in The Wall Street Journal, chronicling how many recent Oscar-nominated films benefited from tax breaks and how much Lincoln received en route to Oscar night.

All the while, these disgusting celebrity stars plead with government officials to raise taxes on the wealthy.

Of the nine "Best Picture" nominees in 2012, for example, five were filmed on location in states where the production company received financial incentives, including "The Help" (in Mississippi) and "Moneyball" (in California). Virginia gave $3.5 million to this year's Oscar-nominated "Lincoln."

If Hollywood Liberals Want Tax Hikes, They Should Look In the Mirror


If you're settling in to watch the Oscars tonight and want to genuinely enjoy the experience, best not to think of the fact that those Hollywood celebrities do their best to suck the government of all the tax subsidies they can get while simultaneously advocating that taxes be raised - just, you know, not on the movie industry.

Peter Schweizer over at Forbes writes:

Consider a few of this year’s Oscar nominated films. According to a new report by the Government Accountability Institute, Quentin Tarantino’s controversial spaghetti Western, Django Unchained, featuring Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio has applied to receive an estimated $8.4 million in film tax credits from the State of Louisiana. Actor-director Ben Affleck and producer George Clooney’s film, Argo, received $6.21 million in tax credits from the California Film Commission. Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln, featuring Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, and Tommy Lee Jones, hauled in $3.5 million in tax-free film credits. Silver Linings Playbook bagged a cool $5.6 million.

Indeed, 40 states now have some form of subsidy or incentive that allow filmmakers to defray income and/or sales taxes incurred during filming. Thirteen states even offer so-called “transferrable film tax credits” that allow filmmakers to convert unused credits into cash—at taxpayer expense, of course.

Hollywood celebrities generally skew liberal, of course, and there's no shortage of them on the record as wanting to pay higher taxes. Ben Affleck, the star and director of Argo, one of the most-decorated films of the year, has repeatedly said things like "I don't spend so much that I can't afford to pay a little bit more in taxes."

If these Hollywood stars were serious about paying more in taxes, they'd attack the tax "incentives" for moviemaking. It'd be much more efficient, and they might even get a few conservatives on board!

Unfortunately, the Motion Picture Association of America has one of the most effective lobbyists in the country: Chris Dodd, former Democrat senator from Connecticut. And Dodd's not about to let those juicy tax credits slip through Hollywood's fingers. Dodd claimed that the fight for tax credits is about small businesses and "dry cleaners, restaurants, and florists."

“Not only does film and television production in New York employ the thousands of men and women working on some of the most popular television shows and films, it also supports small businesses in every sector of the economy – dry cleaners, restaurants, florists – who benefit when a production comes to town.”

So while Hollywood enjoys one of its most popular nights and pats itself on the back by giving awards to itself, remember: they're happy to remain blissfully ignorant about how their industry sucks tax revenues out of government coffers.

Black Principal Promotes Tutoring for Colored Only Students


Andre Pearson is the principal of Mission Viejo Elementary School in Aurora, Colorado. In an effort to help students struggling with various subjects, he started an after school tutoring program. Like any good principal, Pearson sent a letter home to parents to inform them of the new tutoring program.

Unlike most principals, Pearson’s letter contained a bold statement of racial discrimination, only this time it discriminated against white students. On the first line of the letter, it stated that the tutoring program was for ‘Students of Color.’ By the way, Pearson is black.

When the letter hit the homes of a number of white parents, they became upset, offended and outraged. One such parent, Nicole Cox, whose daughter could use the tutoring, told the local news:

“I was infuriated. I didn’t understand why they would include or exclude certain groups. We have come so far in all of these years to show everybody that everyone is equal, that everyone should be treated equally … this is a form of bullying.”

Before she could complain to the school, Cox received a voice message from Pearson, explaining the program, but his message only added fuel to the fire. His message stated:

“This is Andre Pearson. It’s focused for and designed for children of color, but certainly, if we have space for other kids who have needs, we can definitely meet those needs.”

He admits that the program was designed for non-white kids, but to make things worse, he said that IF they have space for other kids, then they will meet those needs. So what are parents like Nicole Cox supposed to do if they don’t have space for other kids?

If a white principal sent out a letter stating that the tutoring program was for all students except those of color, you’d find Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson camped on his front door hollering racial discrimination and demanding he be fired. They would be talking to every news station between Denver to Washington, villainizing the white principal. But where are all of the people like Sharpton and Jackson who are fighting against discrimination of any kind? Who is shouting to the media that this black principal is discriminating against white students?

When any discrimination is even just perceived against a black person, the radical racists come out of the woodwork like ants at a picnic. But when it is a black that is discriminating against whites, it may hit the local news with a few angry white parents, but it soon dies and goes away. Hardly anyone outside the Aurora area will even hear about it.

Such is the inequality of American society.

Miami Dade County Police say two heavily armed men fatally shot a homeowner, a real hero, as he tried to protect his precious daughter during a home invasion from these two obama supporters, aka disgusting Home Invader.

The incident happened late Tuesday night in Miami., Florida The father, identified as Maurice Harris, 36, got into a struggle with the suspects when they tried to gain entry into his 11-year-old daughter's bedroom, police told FoxNews.com. The father was fatally shot in the struggle.

There were no other reports of injuries. The suspects, aka Obama Voters, aka Home Invasion scumbags, were described as black males.

Miami police spokeswoman Kenia Reyes said it appears the men were trying to rob the home.
"We call these two men beasts. These men are beasts," Reyes told the Miami Herald. "They storm inside the house. A little girl was asleep when she was surprised by the gunfire. The father was just trying to protect her."

Annie Streeter, the victim's mother-in-law, said the men held Harris' wife at gunpoint during the invasion. Relatives said that's when Harris fought back and kept the intruders from entering the room of his 11-year-old daughter.
"One of the guys tried to get to his daughter's room, he jumped up and they were fighting back and forth," Streeter told WSVN.com. "I guess that's when the gun went off."

Neighbors are hailing Harris a hero. "Unfortunately, he died but he's super dad," Terry Jones told the station. "I hope I have that much courage if something like that would've happened to me."

Earlier this week in his State of the Union address President Obama made some observations on climate change so brimming with falsehoods I'm surprised his nose didn't fall off.

It really doesn't matter where he himself was deliberately lying or whether he was merely lending the gravitas of his office to the deliberate lies of others. The point is that the President of the USA has access to any number of fact checkers and advisers and if he stands up and addresses the nation with a farrago of complete untruths then the buck stops with him. This dissembling and mendacity becomes all the more culpable when it forms the basis of major public policy decisions which will have a serious impact on people's lives in the US and beyond.

So why this snake-oil salesman being allowed to get away with it?

Here's the offending part of Obama's speech.

Now, it’s true that no single event makes a trend. But the fact is, the 12 hottest years on record have all come in the last 15. Heat waves, droughts, wildfires, floods, all are now more frequent and more intense. We can choose to believe that Superstorm Sandy, and the most severe drought in decades, and the worst wildfires some states have ever seen were all just a freak coincidence. Or we can choose to believe in the overwhelming judgment of science and act before it’s too late.

And here's Marc Morano's unanswerable point by point rebuttal. Obama's war on climate change is a war against a chimera. He is enlarging the state, holding back the economic recovery, restricting freedoms, driving up the price of energy and killing jobs in order to deal with a problem which only exists in the discredited computer projections of a shameless cabal of grant-troughing activist scientists increasingly out of touch with real world data.

So why, outside the internet, has no one called him on it?

I'll tell you what I fear. I think we have now reached that stage of last-days-of-the-Roman-Empire intellectual and moral depravity where almost no one in our dominant corporate/political/financier/lawyer class believes it's worthwhile or even possible to do the right thing any more. Some of them may be vaguely aware that, yes, the only way the world is ever going to recover from the economic mess we're in is through a radical agenda of cost-cutting, contraction of the state, sound money, and lower taxes. But they've made up their minds that none of this is a votewinner in our heavily socialised Western economies and that therefore the only hope is simply to grab what you can while you still can – and forget any fancy, idealistic notions you may have had about making the world a better place.

It disgusts me so much I wonder why I bother. Indeed, if I had my life over again, I don't think I would. I'd train as a lawyer. I'd be running an energy fund with close links to government. I'd be Al Gore or Dale Vince.

Seriously, does anyone have an answer to what I've written here?

of honoring this oath.

Issuing a profusion of executive orders to bypass congress is to be considered
misconduct of his presidential powers.

The mainstream media has his back, slanting fact to sway public opinion, so it
will be difficult to get a lawful conclusion, unless we the people intervene and
shoot down the media bias. Lessons can be learned from history and the
propaganda machine used to bring tyrants into power, who prevent government
of the people, by the people and for the people.

Start stocking up on 'Chap Lip' because you can kiss your freedoms good by.
If impeachment doesn't work, maybe a federal court can nail him on the perjury
charge and have him cool his heels in a federal prison for the next four years.

Marines Were Disarmed for President Obama's Second Inaugural Parade


He's gutted their healthcare, plans to cut their pay and apparently, doesn't trust them either. David Codrea over at Gun Rights Examiner points out that Marines marching in President Obama's second inaugural parade recently were caring rifles without bolts, meaning they were removed.

“Didn't know the Marines had to take the bolts out of their rifles for the Inaugural,” an email forwarded to Gun Rights Examiner from a United States Marine Corps source observed. “Wonder if someone can explain why [they] would be marching in the inaugural parade with no bolts in their rifles!”

The email linked to a YouTube video of the 57th Presidential Inaugural Parade, embedded in this column, featuring Bravo Company Marines from the Marine Barracks Washington. Sure enough, the observation in the email is confirmed by watching the video, with screen shots provided in the photo and slide show accompanying this article.

This prompted an internet search to see if others had also noticed, and the Blur-Brain blog had.

“The bolts have been removed from the rifles rendering them unable to fire a round,” the post stated. “Apparently Obama’s Secret Service doesn’t trust the USMC. Simply searching each guy to make sure he didn’t have a live round hidden on him wasn’t enough, they had to make sure the guns were inoperable.

Wondering if this may be an inauguration policy of long standing that transcends administrations, Gun Rights Examiner made a cursory search and found something even more curious. In the 2009 Inaugural Parade, the United States Navy marched with rifles that had not been so disabled (see 1:24 into that video plus the final slide).



As Gateway Pundit points out, this isn't the first time Marines have been disarmed for an Obama administration event.

“In a sign of the nervousness surrounding Mr. Panetta’s trip, the Marines and other troops who were waiting in a tent for the defense secretary to speak were abruptly asked by their commander to get up, place their weapons — M-16 and M-4 automatic rifles and 9-mm pistols — outside the tent and then return unarmed. The commander, Sgt. Maj. Brandon Hall, told reporters he was acting on orders from superiors.

“All I know is, I was told to get the weapons out,” he said. Asked why, he replied, “Somebody got itchy, that’s all I’ve got to say. Somebody got itchy; we just adjust.”

Normally, American forces in Afghanistan keep their weapons with them when the defense secretary visits and speaks to them. The Afghans in the tent waiting for Mr. Panetta were not armed to begin with, as is typical.”

ICE Union Boss Blasts Marxist Obama Regime

President Barack Hussein Obama and the Regime appear to care about satisfying “special interest groups” within the Democratic base more than protecting the lives of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers, the ICE union boss told lawmakers Tuesday. Thank you Eric Holder as he kisses up to Terrorists, illegal aliens, new black panther thugs, and Racist Al Sharpton.


Chris Crane, the president the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council, had much to say about this political correctness disaster known as the Democrat Party, aka Marxist Regime. Chris Crane told the House Judiciary Committee that “Internally, the agency, in my opinion is falling apart. Morale is at an all-time low, according to recent federal surveys. The agency refuses to train our officers on these new policies, resulting in mass confusion and frustration… nobody really knows what’s going on,”

Chris Crane also stated “As our officers are investigated by ICE for enforcing U.S. immigration law as they see other officers threatened with suspensions for lawful arrests, increasingly officers feel they have become the enemy of this administration.”

Chris Crane, who serves as president of the union representing more than 7,000 rank-and-file ICE agents, discussed problems at the agency -- including agents being prevented by their leadership from enforcing existing immigration law.
