Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell Debate Marxists Cloward and Piven
Friedman and Sowell on Equality
Milton Friedman gives his brilliant assessment of equality in the context of inherited wealth. Thomas Sowell heatedly debates Frances Fox Piven, of 'Cloward-Piven Strategy' fame, on equality of opportunity versus equality of results.
The 'Cloward-Piven Strategy': "First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, the "Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse."
