I believe that if one of the Republican candidates for the Presidency would make an unequivocal statement to the effect that if elected, he would pull the U.S. out of the UN, kick the UN out of the U.S. – and stop every single dime of our financial support from flowing to that anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, anti-American nest of vipers, he would pick up enough votes from patriotic Americans, to win the nomination and the election.

Can I get an ‘Amen’?

WANTED:
A few good men and women who wore the uniform

Here is a ‘JOBS PLAN’ that as I see it, makes sense.

I believe the time is now, to repopulate the halls of Congress with dozens of former members of the U.S. Military. The men and women who have completed successful careers in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard, possess precisely the qualities needed in those who deserve to be elected to represent and protect the legal citizens of the United States.

They understand the meaning of the words ‘honor, duty and commitment’. And too, they thoroughly understand the implications of swearing a sacred oath to preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States of America. They have no illusions regarding what it takes to live up to that oath, 24/7.

They’ve proven by their dedicated service to our nation, that they readily accept the burdens of ‘honor, duty and commitment’. I would love to see a requirement for a Congressional candidate to have served at least one regular hitch in a branch of the U. S. Armed Forces and received an Honorable Discharge, added to the criteria for qualification to run for office. To have a substantial number of veterans of our military serving in the Congress, would be in my opinion, a tremendous boost in the level of character, commitment and leadership in the Congress.

Who better to fill these jobs than men and women who have been highly trained in the disciplines of preserving the principles upon which this nation was founded and who have actually spent years guarding the virtue and freedoms we cherish above all else? Who better to serve as civilian guardians of the Constitution than those who have spent so much of their careers doing that job as military guardians? They don’t have to be taught American history - they’ve lived it, they’ve written it. Back in their early days as raw recruits, they learned to be self-reliant and yet, be part of a tightly-knit unit – to function as a team – and when the situation called for it, to quickly step forward into a leadership role. Only as a member of our military can this kind of individual development be experienced. Only as a member of our Armed Forces can these valuable lessons-learned and skills acquired, be imprinted indelibly onto the very DNA of ordinary citizens. Thus, these ‘ordinary’ citizens who’ve served our nation and worn the uniform, comprise an invaluable resource from which to draw truly exceptional candidates for elected office.

And, because they have become extraordinarily adept at recognizing and evaluating emergencies and have been so thoroughly schooled and practiced at prioritizing, planning and implementation, they are well positioned to function effectively in elected office – with a minimum of wasted effort and a maximum of on-target results. They expect to hit the bullseye.

Even though they might have spent several decades in uniform and earned the perks of retirement, many will still heed the call to extend their service to our nation by devoting another six or eight productive years as a Member of the United States Congress. We should only be so lucky.

Objective reporting: A thing of the past

After reading a recent report in the SunSentinel by their political writer, Anthony Man, about Florida Congressman West’s role in an upcoming Chamber of Commerce event to be held in Washington, I was left with a distinct sense of a palpable urge on the part of Mr. Man, to ferret out and report ‘something untoward’ in West’s participation. While Man never actually articulated such a concern, he left no doubt that he has unexpressed reservations about Cong. West.

Call me crazy but ever since he began to cover candidate Allen West, it has been obvious to interested observers, myself included, that Anthony Man has harbored an antipathy with regard to retired U. S. Army Ltc. West, now a duly-elected Congressman. I do admit to a bias; I am an avid supporter of Allen West. Anthony Man however, would certainly deny his bias all day long, as he projects his aforementioned antipathy from behind the curtain around his computer keyboard that obscures his real mindset.

Once again, we are confronted with a biased journalist masquerading as an honest-unbiased reporter of, ‘who-what-where-and-when’.
And my friends, that is an uncontestable fact.

Whose word are you going to take - mine or Snopes?
Ha, I thought so.

GLOBAL WORMING:

The science is unsettled but, the intent is clear.

Ever since the blasts of hot air first began to blow from that ill wind who blows no good, AL ‘Numbnutz’ GORE, the looney-tunes who bought into his nonsense have somehow, managed to become the tail that wags the dog.

For reasons of pure greed and personal aggrandizement, Gore and his army of loose-hinged followers have managed to throw every department of our Federal Government into a tizzy of stumbling over themselves trying to make every issue that should be red, white & blue – into a bilious shade of green. Meaning that no matter the issue, a pall of fault, guilt and blame has been cast over it in order to torture it into some form of green issue. That’s where the Global WORMing comes in. The ’green’ of course, translates into the great gobs of tax dollars the EPA is legally ‘worming’ (extorting) from the hapless citizenry of these United States, regardless of the ludicrous and illogical fake-science put forth by that agency in order to justify its case.

It stinks. Al Gore stinks. The EPA stinks. The Administration that is so complicit in this Federal hustle, stinks.It is a false, phony, illegitimate and corrupt issue. My scientific case for justification of this viewpoint? How about a few million years of history of this globe heating and cooling as it damned well pleased, without the benefit or Al Gore’s stupid, half-witted scientific opinion? And somehow, the human race is still roaming over the surface, bravely but breathlessly, waiting for the Arctic Ocean to flood Florida’s shoreline. Oy vay!

Belafonte: a spoiled fruit

Harry Belafonte’s latest tirade against sanity took the form of hurling invectives at Republican presidential candidate, Herman Cain. The once handsome but now, over-the-hill Caribbean crooner, availed himself of the opportunity to wax ineloquent on a recent Joy Behar show. I’m guessing that the booking agency for The View presumed that Banana Belafonte was long gone from the scene and so, has busied itself negotiating for another appearance with Bill O’Reilly.

And - - I’m guessing again, that’s how hoary Harry wound up at the Behar bordello. But au contraire, Harry is still alive and kicking – at least sufficiently alive to call Candidate Cain, a ‘bad apple’. Now, why would he do that? Just the latest in a unbroken litany of nasty remarks about true Americans, interspersed with an even longer litany of glowing descriptions and laudatory commentary about the likes of his heroes and pals, Che, Castro, Chavez and any number of Communists, Socialists and Marxist strong-men.

His ‘bad apple’ comment reminds me of a personal experience. Many of you reading this might have had a similar experience. Did you ever put an absolutely perfect apple into the refrigerator to cool, intending to enjoy it later? And then, forgot about it until weeks afterward when you looked behind the ketchup and saw a lump of shriveled brown mess?

That’s old Harry Belafonte - - an antique piece of fruit that is no longer vibrant, much less, attractive. He is as useless and inconsequential as Jane Fonda, Mel Gibson, Susan Sarandan, Barbra Streisand and the rest of that screw-loose ilk.

‘Bad apple’, indeed. Look into the mirror, Harry - - and get ready - - it ain’t pretty.

Citizens: Step forward and ring the Liberty Bell

The Revolutionary War was won against all odds, by Citizen Soldiers.
Today’s battle against this current president and his administration of Marxist ideology, will be won by such as Congressman Allen West, a Soldier Citizen Legislator. We need to re-elect this American and many more like him, to confront and defeat the encroachment of Socialist groups that want to replace our Constitution. Plus, we must confront and defeat the radical, bloodthirsty operatives of Islam’s CAIR and Muslim Brotherhood that are trying to spread the horrors of Shariah compliance.

Every citizen who cherishes his citizenship must stay on the alert for the signs of anti-Americanism, anti-Capitalism and anti-free-enterprise that are becoming more visible and more audible every day.
And, when we do recognize these signs, we must STAND UP and SHOUT OUT about it. Such attempts to destroy our freedoms that are guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, must be crushed.

It is our job – each and every one of us – to step forward and ring the Liberty Bell.

Guantanamo: Now and Forever

Since no one has asked me – but, I feel that everyone has a right to my opinion, I’ll tell you how I feel about our ‘Gitmo’ Naval Base - - ‘Guantanamo’.

GUANTANAMO SHOULD NEVER, NEVER, EVER BE CLOSED !

In the first place, it is U. S. territory and we should not ever give that up. While it is but a tiny area surrounded by Castro’s Cuba, it is nevertheless considered and is in fact, soil of the sovereign entity, the United States of America. It should remain so, in perpetuity.

There will always be bad guys to be kept in the slammer. And it appears as if the terrorism threat posed by the evil followers and thugs of evil Islam that has been a presence in this world since the seventh century, is still with us and is likely to be around for a while longer. What better facility to house these rag-headed information sources while extracting their data, than Guantanamo?

There are some frivolous amenities afforded the present group of occupants – Quorans, prayer rugs, clean clothes, good food, free health care and other unprecedented freedoms and privileges for prisoners, etc. - but, when the politically-correct lunacy has been expunged by a more enlightened administration, the environment at Gitmo will be once again return to precisely what it was designed to be – a no-frills prison for incarcerating the worst of the worst.

My second reason for keeping Guantanamo open is to assure that there will be a suitable facility for placement of Obama following his conviction and sentencing for treason and for crimes against the Constitution and the people of the United States of America. If there is any justice to be had in this country, his sentence will be a long one, of solitary confinement in a Federal Penal Institution.

Gitmo fits like a glove.

And furthermore, even if Barack Hussein Obama were to be the sole prisoner in that facility, it should be kept open and maintained. If there is a need to justify all the cell capacity, the list of possible candidates is long. Just run down the entire roster of appointees and advisors by this president including the lengthy laundry list of Czars, the current Democrat leadership in both the Senate and the House plus, all the other Democrats in the Congress.

Attention haters of Liberty : Listen for the slam.

Poignant Analysis from DNC Chair

As you have heard by now, Robert Turner, Republican, defeated David Weprin, Democrat, for the N.Y. Congressional seat previously held by Anthony Weiner. This remarkable feat happened notwithstanding the fact that:

• Democrats outnumber Republicans by a margin of more than 3 to 1.
  
• The District overwhelmingly voted for Obama in 2008.
  
• The Democrats outspent the Republican candidate by a significant amount.
  
• The district has voted Democrat since 1923!
  
• The Democrats called in former President Bill Clinton and Governor Andrew Cuomo to garner support.
  

What is even more remarkable is the statement by Debbie Wasserman Schultz:”It’s a difficult seat for Democrats.” This brilliant statement came from the Democratic National Committee Chairperson who represents Weston, Florida.

Professor Watson: One, two, three, faux.

In the 9-11-2011 edition of the SunSentinel, that paper’s faux-professor of history Robert Watson, displayed yet another glaring example of his academic ineptitude. Based upon this latest in his string of published pratfalls, one must presume that the man is seriously lacking in any knowledge of his subject, beyond that which he has gleaned from perusing the content of the re-written, Liberal-slanted-history textbooks in his library.


I object to the laziness of this compiler of re-written history, drawing specious conclusions and making pseudo-intellectual inferences that are unsupported by contemporaneous history. It is thus that he so frequently skews the truth. Example: Watson’s statement near the end of his tale of two tragedies, in which he wrote the following: “Let us not forget that, in the wake of both Pearl Harbor and 9-11, we treated minority groups
-Japanese and Muslims –poorly and at times overacted to fear and jingoism.”

Watson’s ability to mix apples and grapefruit is a technique he must have absorbed from reading texts of the speeches full of hysterical harangues by that past master of blatantly illogical spin, Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels.


The faux-historian Watson equates the U.S. Government’s treatment of innocent Japanese-American citizens immediately following Imperial Japan’s sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941, with the ten-year history of the cowardly and shameful, politically-correct avoidance by our elected officials, to place blame for the 9-11 sneak attack on the Twin Towers where it belongs, directly on radical Islam and tangentially on the stunningly-silent followers of the Muslim faith here in the United States. Equating these two diametrically opposed actions and inactions, is a quantum leap of ludicrous logic. Only a hack historian would attempt to foist such a nonsensical and irresponsible comparison onto his readership.

And, this guy gets paid to write this tripe?

We have a letter that was written by an Australian Dentist, obviously it was not from close friend of Barry Soetoro. By the way how are his Terrorist Friends. How many times do we have to bring up Odinga, Khalidi, and Bill Ayers. The board of a lowlife nonprofit organization on which B. Hussein Obama served as a paid director alongside a confessed domestic terrorist which granted funding to a controversial Arab group that mourns the establishment of Israel as a "catastrophe" and supports intense immigration reform, including providing drivers licenses and education to illegal aliens.

You probably missed this in the rush of news, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper, an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.

So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is. So they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)

So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin , and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world.. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. The SunSentinel’s Senior Editorial Writer Gary Stein, wrote a stunning column that appeared in the paper’s Opinion section on 8-24-2011.

It was jaw-dropping in its revelation of Stein’s sophomoric pretentiousness. How totally unbecoming it was for the senior editor to transfer his personal feelings of inadequacy regarding his own lack of patriotic service to this nation and to foster an attack on a retired career military officer. Especially, one who served this nation with honor and was decorated for valor,in combat. And, to add gross insult to injury, Stein has egregiously cast unjustified, slanderous aspersions at LTC. West, now a sitting Congressman from Florida’s District 22, who represents his constituents as their duly-elected representative in the U. S. House of Representatives.

Given the string of corrupt representatives elected by the clueless and the careless from this region of S.E. Florida (Robt.Wexler, Ron Klein, Burt Aaronson, Alcee Hastings, Debbie Wasserman Shultz . . . to name but a few whom I believe never served a day in the U.S. Military}, it seems strange that Mr. Stein would choose to attack someone who voluntarily enlisted in the service of our nation, to protect and defend people such as Stein and this list of self-centered losers. What’s wrong with this picture? What’s wrong with the moral compass that should provide ethical direction for the mental processes of this Senior Editorial Writer for the SunSentinel?

Your apology would be something less than worthless, Mr. Stein. So, don’t bother. Your immediate resignation however, would be of palpable and more significant value; it might even be considered a civic service.

Obama knows WWII; not so much.

There are 'lies', 'damned lies' and then there is, 'Obama-speak'.

Recently Obama the historian', who is renowned for his impeccable accuracy in matters pertaining to the history of our nation, casually made the claim in one of his speeches that his father had served in World War II. I was in the uniform of the U.S.Navy during that war and I must say, I never ran across Barack Hussein Obama, the elder. Of course I might have just missed him in all the noise and confusion that surrounded that event.

While the elder BHO might have served in the 'Conscientious Objector' battalion, I'm willing to bet my next social security check that he never served a day in the regular armed forces of the United States of America. Although I haven't read Obama's book, the one that he dedicated to his father's hallucinations, I am willing to wager that serving in the U. S. Military was never one of the 'dreams of his father'. I think it's a safe bet.

Obama and his father (whomever that turns out to be, if ever the issue is actually investigated and a provable conclusion is reached) represent two generations of an ideological eccentricity that defies all accepted logic. Their ravings and writings are plucked right out of the pages of a medical journal description of the symptoms associated with advanced stages of Syphilis.

We are 310 million Americans, being led around by our noses by this one Muslim lunatic and his equally nut-case Marxist enablers and misguided supporters. And, we have 535 elected members of the U. S. Congress who seem too mesmerized or traumatized to make the slightest effort to pro-actively protect we lonely 310 million of their constituents, as they each swore a solemn oath to do.

Or, am I just a cranky old WWII dinosaur who still believes with all his heart, in every single word that is contained in the Constitution of the United States of America?

Thanks to technological repairs and enhancements to the often-maligned but, most spectacular scientific achievement, the Hubble Space Telescope, we have now been provided with one of its most unique revelations.

Peering through galaxies of gaseous space dust, beeelyuns and beeelyuns of stars into that astro-phenomenon, the Milky Way itself, space watchers at the Obama Space Watching Laboratory high atop Mt.Hussein on the island of KillerWhale-ia, Hawaii, have recently made an astounding discovery. You ain't not hardly gonna believe this one.

They've been able to isolate and identify an item that had been buried within all that space flotsam and obscured by the aforementioned gaseous space dust for, by their best estimate, nearly fifty years. What wuz it, you axx? None other than the genuine article: Bayrock Forshame Obammer's birth certificate. No kiddin' - this is it; signed by Moe Hammid, himself and counter-signed by Al Sharpton, Louie Ferrycan and the very Reverend Always Wright. It has since been validated by Snopes, The Huffington Post, the Secretary of Homeland Security, Nancy Pelosi and Casey Anthony. Now, is this the authentic document, or what?

President Obama was informed of the discovery and received the news with no outward change in his cool demeanor. Later in the day, he released a statement through Al Jazeera, promising to study the information and make an announcement regarding his official position a soon as he receives the findings of the Select Commission of sex bi-partisan members of Congress whom he personally chose to investigate the authenticity of this document.

What could be more fair than that?

There is every expectation among both the scientific and academic communities, that he will validate the document and be the first to release the information in what he has always claimed, is the most fully-transparent Administration in our nation's history. This is nothing more than he promised in each one of his beelyuns and beelyuns of campaign speeches.

Before being quoted on any of the above however, I want to check something in my dictionary. I've always confused the terms, 'Telescope' with 'Proctoscope'. And, I do want to be technically correct; it's a thing with me.

A picture worth a thousand words?

"As crazy as it might sound, the cartoon on the Opinion page of the 7-26-2011 edition of the SunSentinel, proves the validity of that trite old adage: "A picture is worth a thousand words." By combining a simple line drawing and a few words of text, the Sentinel's resident political cartoonist Chan Lowe, managed to create a cartoon that would require a thousand words to fully explain. Cartoons are not supposed to create confusion on the part of the viewer.

I'll try in less than a thousand words, to give you an idea of how Lowe created the confusion. His drawing is divided into two halves by a vertical line down the center. On the left side, a 'Joe-6-pack-everyday-sorta-guy' is viewing the front page of his newspaper. The headline reads, "Norway Terrorist A Christian Radical". The guy comments: "First Oklahoma City, now this . . " On the right side of the cartoon, the same guy is depicted shouting, "They shouldn't be allowed to build churches in this country!" This is a clumsy attempt at drawing a parallel to the loudly-expressed opposition by seriously concerned citizens of neighborhoods all across this nation, to the unprecedented proliferation of Mosque-building in their midst. Some might have gotten that message but, I'm guessing that the majority of folks who viewed this over their morning coffee said, "Whaa-aa-at?"

Here's the background, I believe: Super-sized Mosques are being built in neighborhoods where there is currently scant demand for them but, where they are expected to soon be filled with a huge influx of Muslims, all praying five times a day. Prayer services and teachings are led by Imams of the 'religion of peace', espousing the dictates of Shariah - this is the restrictive doctrine that enforces its terms with a variety of brutal corporal punishments, including sanctioned killing. It is radical Islam's stated goal to replace the freedoms guaranteed under our Constitution of the United States of America, with an insanely rigid set of rules that must be followed to the letter by all Muslims, for fear of their own life and limb and that of their families. All infidels or non-believers are made to disappear.

I am hard put to understand how in this time of super-sensitivity to religious bigotry, this newspaper could approve a cartoon that is so blatantly offensive to Christians. Is anyone willing to bet their bottom dollar that such a cartoon would never have seen the light of day if the word had been 'Muslim' instead of 'Christian'? I'll cover that bet.

Political cartoons are ideally, supposed to combine an easily-comprehended drawing with a minimum of supporting text. If the cartoonist is sufficiently skilled at producing this delicate combination, the viewer will quickly, 'get the picture'. If on the other hand, the cartoonist lacks the ability to grasp the essence of the political situation he wants to depict, it is a given that he will not be able to translate an amorphous concept into a cartoon that will be easily understood by the average viewer. A good cartoon can be an effective tool for making a pointed statement; a bad cartoon only serves to muddle an issue by contributing to confusion on the part of those who view it.

"Viewing Lowe's stuff in the SunSentinel gives me the impression that most of the time, this guy is in over his head. And quite often he is in, waaa-ay over his head."
