One would have thought there was no possibility of adding to the already exhaustive list of variations on the presidential title, ‘Commander-in-Chief’.

WRONG! After the most disgraceful and utterly ignorant, insulting remarks made by Obama at the recent White House ceremony held to dedicate the official portraits of former President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, ‘Insulter-in-Chief’ can now be added to the list.

The litany of egregious insults hurled at former allies, representatives of friendly governments and even heads of State by this rude & crude Chicago Street-thug-in- Chief (add another one to the list), began with his first diplomatic disaster on the occasion of the initial visit by the PM of Great Britain. Since then, he has never stopped urinating a steady stream of insults at the intelligence of the American people or to whomever else he finds in his presence – with the notable exception of fellow thugs in Muslim and Islamist states. To date he has never at least to our knowledge, insulted anyone in the Muslim Brotherhood. I’m guessing he feels most comfortably at home when in the company of members of that esteemed group of blood-thirsty thugs.

Chalk up another example of the ‘acorn’ falling not far from the tree. His tribute to his Father, so smarmily memorialized in one of his two highly-fabricated auto-biographies, purports to explain why Obama set himself on a path calculated to perpetuate and enhance his Father’s obsessive hatred of Colonialists. A most pretentious goal yet so absolutely, so typically, narcissistic. The problem is that unfortunately, this weirdness manifests itself in the man this nation misguidedly elected in 2008, to the Presidency of the United States.

Well, there you have it my friends, another example of Obama adding insult to injury. Apparently, this man enjoys basking in his own unique brand of obnoxious behavior.

Who knew? Four more years? I don’t think so.

A female defense attorney, who is not Muslim, wore the traditional Islamic hijab to the military court staging the trial of five Guantanamo Bay prisoners accused of the September 11 attacks yesterday.

Coward Cheryl Bormann, 52, who represents Walid bin Attash, said that her client had demanded she wear the clothing and insisted that other women at the hearing also wear 'appropriate' clothes out of respect for his religion.

Today she explained her decision at Guantanamo Bay, saying she always wears the hijab around her client.

She asked that other women follow her example so that the defendants do not have to avert their eyes 'for fear of committing a sin under their faith', according to Fox News.

The lawyer's decision was one of the less controversial moments during Saturday's hearing where at times the accused openly defied the court.

Kahlid Sheik Mohammed cracked after CIA kept him awake for 180 hours STRAIGHT,

Self-proclaimed ‘mastermind’ Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, wearing a turban and white tunic, refused to answer the judge’s questions.

Mohammed had been asked if he was satisfied with his U.S. military and civilian lawyers.

‘I believe he’s deeply concerned about the fairness of the proceeding,’ said his civilian lawyer, David Nevin.

Proceedings were further delayed as one of the defendants, Waleed bin Attash, appeared while being restrained in his chair.

The restraints were later removed after defense counsel had given assurances that he would ‘behave’.

Another defendant, Ramzi Binalshibh, stood up, then knelt on the courtroom floor and prayed for several minutes as a row of guards in camouflage uniforms kept a close watch.

Mohammed and his co-defendants could all face the death penalty.

They have been accused of seven charges stemming from the 2001 attacks that killed 2,976 people in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.

The devastation resulted in the U.S. embarking on a deadly, costly and ongoing global war against al Qaeda and its supporters.

The families of six victims killed in the attacks were at court witnessing the trial while other victims' families were able to watch proceedings via close-circuit TV.

'It's actually a joke, it feels ridiculous,' said Jim Riches, whose firefighter son, Jimmy, died at the World Trade Center.

Mr Riches watched the hearing from a movie theater at Fort Hamilton in New York City, one of four U.S. military bases where the arraignment was broadcast live for victims' family members, survivors and emergency personnel who responded to the attacks.

'It's been a mess for 11 years,' Riches said as he stood in the rain during a break in the proceedings and described the atmosphere inside.

And after his first glimpse inside the military courtroom, he said, 'It looks like it's going to be a very long trial. ... They want what they want.'

Riches, himself a retired firefighter who worked digging up remains in the days after September 11, said he carried with him dark memories of the days after the attacks, and he hoped that if convicted the five men would be executed.

'I saw what they did to our loved ones - crushed them to pieces,' he said.

About 60 people representing 30 families were in the theater at Fort Hamilton, where the military provided chaplains and grief counselors, Mr Riches said. The other bases providing feeds were Fort Devens in Massachusetts, Joint Base McGuire Dix in New Jersey and Fort Meade in Maryland, the only one open to the public.

At Fort Hamilton, Lee Hanson said he became deeply angry as he watched the delays being caused by men he blames for the death of his son, daughter-in-law and 9/11's youngest victim - his granddaughter, two-year-old Christine Hanson. All were aboard United Flight 175, the second plane to crash into the twin towers.

Several people who viewed the proceedings said they had little sympathy for the defendants' complaints about their treatment, given the brutality of the deaths of the nearly 3,000 victims of the attacks.

Mohammed was waterboarded 183 times and subjected to other measures that some have called torture.

'My brother was murdered in the cockpit of his airplane, and we will have to stand up for him,' said Debra Burlingame, who attended the viewing on behalf of her brother, Charles Burlingame, who piloted the jet that hijackers crashed into the Pentagon.

More than a decade after the attacks, she said: 'We're back in the game ... and they decided to play games.' She added: 'They're engaging in jihad in a courtroom.'

At Fort Meade, about 80 people watched the proceedings at a movie theater on the base, where 'The Lorax' was being promoted on a sign outside.

One section of the theater for victims' families was sectioned off with screens, and signs asked that other spectators respect their privacy.

Once the proceedings began, the spectators in the public section laughed at times, including when a lawyer indicated Mohammed was likely not interested in using his headphones for a translator and again, briefly, when one of the defendants stood and the judge said that kind of behavior excited the guards. But the crowd was quiet when the man began to pray.

Only about half as many spectators returned after a midday recess. Very few people were planning to go to the viewing site in New Jersey, a base spokesman said, and a reporter was turned away at the gates to Fort Devens in Massachusetts.

Six victims' families chosen by lottery traveled to Guantanamo to see the arraignment in person.

Others ignored the viewing opportunity altogether. Alan Linton of Frederick, Maryland, who lost his son Alan Jr, an investment banker, at the World Trade Center, said he and his wife put their names in the lottery for the Cuba trip but weren't interested in watching a video feed of the arraignment.

'That's just not the same as being there to me,' Linton said. 'Going to Fort Meade, it's kind of like watching television.'

Whether they watched or not, relatives were frustrated that it's taken so long to bring the September 11 conspirators to justice.

The Obama administration dropped earlier military-commission charges against them when it decided in 2009 to try them in federal court in New York.

'I would have preferred this would have been in federal court,' Blake Allison of Lyme, New Hampshire, whose 49-year-old wife Anna was aboard the plane that hit the first tower, told the LA Times.

'The public needs to see how in the world you could defend these horrible criminals, and how the prosecutor will be able to prove to the country and the world this is a fair and just system.'

Congress blocked the civilian trials amid opposition to bringing the defendants to U.S. soil, especially to a courthouse located blocks from the trade center site.

Mohammed and the others could be given the death penalty if convicted in the attacks that sent hijacked airliners crashing into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania. The trial is probably at least a year away. When it comes to justice, 'it seems like it's an afterthought,' said Eunice Hanson, two-year-old Christine's grandmother. But New York police Detective Marc Nell said the viewing at Fort Hamilton more than a decade after 14 men in his unit were killed brought a sense of satisfaction, 'a great feeling.'

'It was a feeling of pride, being proud knowing that those guys were (being) brought to justice,' he said.

Lawyers for all defendants complained yesterday that the prisoners were prevented from wearing the civilian clothes of their choice.

Mohammed wore a white turban in court; his flowing beard, which had appeared to be graying in earlier hearings and photos, was streaked with red henna.

Mohammed's civilian lawyer, David Nevin, said he believed Mohammed was not responding because he believes the tribunal is unfair.

Pohl warned he would not permit defendants to block the hearing and would continue without his participation.

'One cannot choose not to participate and frustrate the normal course of business,' Pohl said.

In the past, during the failed first effort to prosecute them at the U.S. base in Cuba, Mohammed has mocked the tribunal and said he and his co-defendants would plead guilty and welcome execution.

But there were signs that at least some of the defense teams were preparing for a lengthy fight, planning challenges of the military tribunals and the secrecy that shrouds the case.

The arraignment is 'only the beginning of a trial that will take years to complete, followed by years of appellate review,' attorney James Connell, who represents defendant Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali, told reporters gathered at the base to observe the hearing. 'I can't imagine any scenario where this thing gets wrapped up in six months,' Connell said.

Defendants in what is known as a military commission typically do not enter a plea during their arraignment. Instead, the judge reads the charges, makes sure the defendants understand their rights and then moves on to procedural issues.

Lawyers for the men said they were prohibited by secrecy rules from disclosing the intentions of their clients.

Jim Harrington, a civilian attorney for Ramzi Binalshibh, a Yemeni prisoner who has said at one hearing that he was proud of the September 11 attacks, said he did not think that any of the defendants would plead guilty, notwithstanding their earlier statements.

Army Captain Jason Wright, one of Mohammed's Pentagon-appointed lawyers, declined to comment on the case.

Several of the victims' families said they were grateful for the chance to see a case they believe has been delayed too long.

Cliff Russell, whose firefighter brother Stephen died responding to the World Trade Center, said he hoped the case would end with the death penalty for the five Guantanamo Prisoners. 'I'm not looking forward to ending someone else's life and taking satisfaction in it, but it's the most disgusting, hateful, awful thing I ever could think of if you think about what was perpetrated,' Russell said.

Suzanne Sisolak of Brooklyn, whose husband Joseph was killed in his office in the Trade Center's North Tower, said she was not concerned about the ultimate outcome as long as the case moves forward and the five prisoners do not go free.

'They can put them in prison for life. They can execute them,' Sisolak said. 'What I do care about is that this does not happen again. 'They need to be stopped. That's what I care about because nobody deserves to have this happen to them.'

The arraignment for the five comes more than three years after President Obama's failed effort to try the suspects in a federal civilian court and close the prison at the U.S. base in Cuba.

Attorney General Eric Holder announced in 2009 that Mohammed and his co-defendants would be tried blocks from the site of the destroyed trade center in downtown Manhattan, but the plan was shelved after New York officials cited huge costs to secure the neighborhood and family opposition to trying the suspects in the U.S.

Congress then blocked the transfer of any prisoners from Guantanamo to the U.S., forcing the Obama administration to refile the charges under a reformed military commission system.

New rules adopted by Congress and Obama forbid the use of testimony obtained through cruel treatment or torture.

General Mark Martins, the chief prosecutor, said the commission provides many of the same protections that defendants would get in civilian court. 'I'm confident that this court can achieve justice and fairness,' he said.

But human rights groups and the defense lawyers say the reforms have not gone far enough and that restriction on legal mail and the overall secret nature of Guantanamo and the commissions makes it impossible to provide an adequate defense. They argue that the U.S. has sought to keep the case in the military commission to prevent disclosure of the harsh treatment of prisoners such as Mohammed, who was waterboarded 183 times and subjected to other measures that some have called torture.

Mohammed, a Pakistani citizen who grew up in Kuwait and attended college in Greensboro, North Carolina, has acknowledged to military authorities that he was responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks 'from A to Z,' as well as about 30 other plots, and that he personally killed Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

Mohammed was captured in 2003 in Pakistan.

His four co-defendants include Binalshibh, a Yemeni, who was allegedly chosen to be a hijacker but couldn't get a U.S. visa and ended up providing assistance such as finding flight schools.

Waleed bin Attash, also from Yemen, allegedly ran an al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan and researched flight simulators and timetables.

The others are Mustafa Ahmad al-Hawsawi, a Saudi who allegedly helped the hijackers with money, Western clothing, traveler's checks and credit cards and al-Aziz Ali, a Pakistani national and nephew of Mohammed, who allegedly provided money to the hijackers.

Sharia is a primitive law; like a polyp hinged on to Islam. A religion that
was spread by violence and has yet to transform as did Christianity, into an
organization guiding its believers toward peace, decency and love for their
fellow man, evolving from the middle ages to right itself after straying
from it origins. The process is on going.

Islam is still stuck into a middle ages mind set and will not move ahead until
it realizes it is 700 years behind the times and must purge the advocacy of
violence, suppression of free thinking, the demeaning of women and its en-
dorsing honor killing of family members who stray from the chauvinistic goons
under the guise of religion.

In the Judeo-Christian dogma life is precious. The clergy in Islam does not
endorse the sanctity of life. The lives of others are there to be sacrificed for
their benefit, power and position. I have yet to hear of any cleric suicide
bombers. Their misguided beliefs are contrary to God.

Throughout Islam it is evident the radicalism can be mostly associated and
attributed to the Arab world, they having contributed nothing for the betterment

Dallas' Solution - Taking uninsured cars off the highway

Recently, in the City of Dallas, Texas, they passed an ordinance that if you are pulled over by law enforcement and not able to provide proof of Car Insurance, your car will be towed right away.

Afterwards, to retrieve your car after being impounded, you must show proof of insurance to have your car released.

This has made it easy for the City of Dallas to remove uninsured cars that are typically driven by mostly illegals. Shortly after "No insurance" ordinance was passed, the Dallas impound lots began to fill up quickly and were full after nine days. Most of the impounded cars were driven by illegals.

Not only must you provide proof of insurance to have your car released, you have to pay for the cost of the tow, a $350 fine, and charged $20 for every day their car is kept in the lot.

I would suggest other cities across the nation to follow what Dallas, Texas is doing. Not only is it getting uninsured drivers off the road, but it is taking away vehicles driven by illegals that have no Texas Car Insurance that might endanger your life.

Brings a tear to my eye!!! GO Texas!!!!

Get them off the road WITHOUT making them show proof of nationality. Wonder how the ACLU or the Justice Department will get around this one.

Before anyone had publicly identified the shooter of Arizona Congreswoman Gabrielle Giffords, the wire services were busily and shamelessly trying to establish a link between the violence and the Tea Party movement.


The fact that Giffords is a Democrat and that the shooter, 22 year-old Jared Lee Loughner, is a white gun owner assures that they will continue to do so in spite of ample evidence to the contrary.


To be fair, Loughner's YouTube and MySpace pages show someone who is pretty seriously deranged. His favorite books, however, include none that might be construed as Tea Party favorites with the possible exception of Ayn Rand's We The Living.


The book also includes some gentle liberal favorites like To Kill A Mockingbird, hippie cult hits like Siddartha and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and that ultimate left wing classic, the Communist Manifesto.


Loughner has also produced a confused, type-only video for YouTube. In it, he attempts to acquaint the viewer with an unexplained phenomenon called "conscience dreaming." Through this process he hopes to promote literacy and introduce a "new currency" to "literate dreamers." It does not go any deeper than that.


In the next few days, the best strategy is to ignore the media noise and pray for those victims like Gifffords will survive and and for those several victims who will not.

(Washington, D.C) On this historic day in our nation's history, Congressman Allen West (R-FL) has been officially sworn in to the United States House of Representatives as a member of the 112th Congress.

"I am humbled and honored to be a part of this historic body of Congress," West said. "I have been given the trust of the constituents of the 22nd district of Florida. I will not let them down."

Accompanied by his two teenage daughters, Aubrey and Austen, and his wife Angela, West placed his hand on the bible and was asked to take the oath of Congress by newly elected Speaker of the House, John Boehner.

"South Floridians elected me with expectations that I will come to Washington and fight for what is important to them," West said. "My first priorities will be turning around this disastrous economy, limiting government spending, and national security."

West has accepted appointments to the House Armed Services Committee and the Small Business Committee.

"Today is a day I will never forget," West said. "I spent 22 years wearing the uniform of a United States soldier fighting for this country. I may be in a different kind of uniform today, but my willingness to do whatever it takes to protect Americans remains the same."

Shame on you Clarence Page, how much more condescending can you be in describing another person? If what you said about Christine O'Donnell was said by a white person about a black person, you and and the ultra-liberal NAACP, and the other "racial hustlers" like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, would be crying "racism" to the rooftops.

You condemn O'Donnell for saying that she doesn't have an Ivy League education, which by the way most people don't have, therefore, she is a reverse "elitist" (like you are a reverse "bigot"). Does having an Ivy League education automatically qualify you to be better than everyone else? There's nothing wrong with an Ivy League education, but there's nothing wrong without one either. One thing I've noticed, and your favorite son Obama fits into this category, is that many with Ivy League educations are lacking in that undefinable trait called "common sense", which cannot be taught in any "elitist" college or university. Look at many of our present and former politicians who have come up short on having "common sense", a couple of examples are former Defense Secretary Robert McNamara, of Vietnam War fame, and, of course, the guru of global warming, Al Gore.

Your diatribe against Christine O'Donnell is not only "sexist" it is truly "elitist" and shows your readers that you like to practice discrimination as long as it is not about race.

Here's one thought on the matter.

While in a Blockbuster renting videos I came across a video called "Obama". There were two men standing next to me and we talked about President Obama. These guys were Arabs, so I asked them why they thought Michele Obama Headed home following the President's recent visit to France instead of traveling On to Saudi Arabia and Turkey with her husband. They told me she could not go to Saudi Arabia, Turkey or Iraq. I said "Why not,(?) -- Laura Bush went to Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Dubai." They said that Obama is a Muslim and therefore he is not allowed to bring his wife into countries that adhere to Sharia Law.

Two points of interest here:

1) I thought it interesting that two American Arabs at Blockbuster believe that our President is a Muslim, 2) who follows a strict Islamic creed.

They also said that's the reason he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia. It was a signal to the Muslim world, acknowledging his religion.

For further consideration, here is a response from Dr. Jim Murk, a Middle Eastern Scholar and expert on Islam. This is his explanation of what the Arab American's were saying.

"An orthodox Muslim man would never take his wife on a politically oriented trip to any nation which practices Sharia law, particularly Saudi Arabia where the Wahhabi sect is dominant. This is true and it is why Obama left Michelle in Europe. She will stay home when he visits Arab countries. He knows Muslim protocol; this includes, bowing to the Saudi King. He also played down the fact that America is a Christian country and said, unbelievably, that it was one of the largest Muslim nations in the world, which is nonsense. He has publicly taken the side of the Palestinians in the conflict with Israel and he ignored the National Day of Prayer, something no other President has ever done.

Why has Barack Hussein Obama insisted that the U.S. Attorney General hold the trials of the 911 Muslim Terrorists in Civilian Courts as Common Criminals instead of as Terrorists who attacked the United States of America?

If the Muslim Terrorists are tried in Military Tribunals, convicted and sentenced to death, by LAW, Barack Hussein Obama, as President of the United States, would be required to sign their Death Warrants. He would not be required to sign the death warrants if they are sentenced to death by a Civilian Court. Last year, Muslim Jihadist, Army Major Hassan slaughtered non-Muslim soldiers at Ft. Hood, Texas rather than go to Afghanistan and be a part of anything that could lead to the deaths of fellow Muslims. He stated that Muslims "could not and should not kill fellow Muslims."

Is the motive for Barack Hussein Obama's insistence on civilian trials, to make sure he doesn't have to sign the death warrants for the Muslim Terrorists? Why would he, as President of the United States , not sign the death warrants for Muslim Terrorists who attacked the United States and murdered over 3,000 U. S. Citizens on 9/11? Could it be that he is FORBIDDEN by his RELIGION to authorize the execution of Muslims?

Think about that! Open your eyes, ears and mind to WHO the President is, HOW he behaves and WHAT he is doing.

But back to Liberal Women. Why don't you have a backbone like Conservative Women? Liberal Women complain and shout if THEY are abused (allegedly). The unremitting degradation of women in most of the Mideast, Africa, and other parts of Asia where Islamic law plays a huge role is horrifying and appalling. Islamic law endorses slavery, demands executions for apostasy, and condones the repression of women.


The debasement of women plays a critical role among Palestinian women, where little girls live under a death threat of honor killing. The male sexual abuse of female children is quite pervasive. It traumatizes and shames women into obedience and renders them incapable of resistance or rebellion. This degradation of women is not restricted merely to the Palestinian community, whose lives have been repeatedly squandered by their terrorist leaders. In Iran, for instance, the Islamic government does not recognize women as fully human. In 1992, over 100,000 women were arrested in Tehran for "improper veiling" and "moral corruption." Scores of pregnant women were flogged in public on the same charge. Women appearing in public without traditional veiling are sentenced to up to 74 lashes. As I write this, there is a worldwide protest concerning the injustice being meted out to Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani. Unfortunately, she will probably be flogged to death.


Books highlight the terror that permeates daily life for women. Reading Lolita in Tehran describes the endless tales of frustration, humiliation, and sorrow of female college students. The women endure daily indignities by the militia who patrol the streets to ensure that the women are wearing their veils. The patrols demand that the women students walk in public with men who are their brothers, husbands, or fathers. Sporting jewelry and wearing nail polish are punishable crimes. If a woman uses a bus, the seating is segregated. Female students are penalized for running up the stairs if they are late for a class. The age of marriage has been lowered from eighteen years to nine years of age. Stoning is a punishment for adultery and prostitution. Women found guilty of any infraction are forced to wash toilets, fined, jailed, and flogged. Humiliation is the source of the Islamic fundamentalist power.

Not only confined to Iran, such abuse is common elsewhere as well. In March 2002, a Nigerian woman, who had a small baby, was convicted of adultery and sentenced to death by stoning. In Pakistan, an average of two women every day die from "honor killings." In the book entitled Princess by Jean P. Sasson, a father drowns his own daughter because she has met with foreign-born men.

This is not an isolated situation. It is emblematic of a world where girls are sold into marriage to men five times their age and brutally murdered for the slightest transgression. In Afghanistan, women are beginning to wear the burqa again because they fear the resurgence of the Taliban. When the Taliban reigned supreme, music was forbidden and the female voice banned. To walk in shoes that clicked would elicit the Taliban's wrath. Young female children attending school have acid thrown in their faces. Where do such turpitude, cruelty, and vile behavior come from?

Either a strong-willed woman will resist with all her might and possibly die trying -- or those who are broken become physically and mentally impaired shells of a human being. And, in a horrifying perversion, the constant brainwashing so common in totalitarian regimes molds women to become partners in their own demise and in the destruction of their own offspring. After all, Palestinian women are pleased to offer up their own children as suicide bombers -- have these mothers been so unalterably changed that even the fundamental maternal instinct of protecting one's young has become brutally extinguished? Is this why women hold down small girls about to undergo the atavistic ritual of female genital mutilation?

And where are the voices of Western feminists so eager to burn bras, but hardly a word about burning burqas? What more evidence is needed to rise up to aid those sisters around the world who are desperately in need of genuine activism? Hatred, humiliation, suppression, coercion, and discrimination of women make up the fabric of so many societies in the world. The misery and abject conditions of these women are shocking.

As rabbi, teacher, and activist, the late Abraham Joshua Heschel wrote in "The Meaning of This Hour" about the horrors of the 20th century. He was adamant when he wrote that there can be no neutrality. Either we are ministers of the sacred or slaves of evil. Let the blasphemy of our time not become an eternal scandal. Let future generations not loathe us for having failed to preserve what prophets and saints, martyrs and scholars have created in thousands of years. The apostles of force have shown that they are great in evil. Let us reveal that we can be as great in goodness.

It is particularly noteworthy that the Jewish New Year is upon us. Also known as Yom Harat Olam, or the "Day of the Birth of the World," it is meant to usher in a new beginning for all people, not just Jews. It is a universal holiday and commemorates when G-d made man and woman and completed the physical creation of the world. The process of creation, however, is never over. Each generation is given a choice to make a difference.

Moderate Muslims, like moderate Christians and moderate Jews, need to acknowledge the horror of sharia law, address this autocratic, mind-numbing enslavement of women, and never retreat. While Muslim worship is protected under the First Amendment, Islamic sharia law should never be protected or condoned. Only then will the liberating phraseology of the First Commandment be enacted and slavery broken down, brick by brick by brick.

Maxine Waters' favorite bank violated its pledge to help the poor

The Boston bank that is at the center of controversy involving Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who intervened with regulators to protect and reward the bank (her husband had a financial interest in the bank), apparently lied about helping poor people, reports the Boston Globe:


Five years ago this month, Mayor Thomas M. Menino stood with community leaders in Roxbury to hail plans for a new OneUnited branch in the neighborhood. The bank's president pledged to make loans worth hundreds of millions of dollars across Boston, with a special emphasis on low-income borrowers.


OneUnited said it would partner with the city to offer the mortgages to first-time and current homeowners, and provide financial literacy training to residents. "As a child of an inner-city community I can tell you, it doesn't get any better than this,'' the bank's president, Teri Williams, told the crowd that day.


But no loan program ever emerged -- one in a long list of failures by the nation's largest minority-owned bank, which is controlled by Williams and her husband, Kevin Cohee, the bank's chairman.


In recent years, regulators have admonished the bank for poor performance and lavish executive pay, and Cohee himself has had personal run-ins with the law in California. And the bank, despite its diminished role as a community lender, sought and received help from US Representative Maxine Waters, a California Democrat, to secure $12 million in federal funds after the bank lost money on risky investments. Waters now faces House ethics charges in the matter because her husband had a stake in the bank.


The spin that the bank would help the poor acquire housing and jobs was just that: spin. A few dollars trickled out to help some poor people -- but not in Boston, Miami, or Los Angeles, where it opened offices. But large sums did go to a wealthy developers in Massachusetts. Meanwhile, executives rewarded themselves with fancy cars and high salaries. The president had run-ins with the law; a sexual assault allegation (dropped) and a drug charge that was dropped after he agreed to counseling. The plight of the poor was a ruse to ransack.


Quiet a crew that Maxine Waters bent -- actually broke -- the rules to help reward with our money. She should be ashamed, instead of defiant. And Congressman Barney Frank logrolled for her -- did favors to help her while attempting to keep her role hidden. He should be ashamed of himself, as well (let alone for his role in creating the housing crisis by his drive to promote home ownership among those who could not afford it).

"I have this theory about Barack Obama. I think he's led a kind of make-believe
life in which money was provided and doors were opened because at some point early
on somebody or some group took a look at this tall, good looking, half-white, half-black, young man with an exotic African/Muslim name and concluded he could be guided toward a life in politics where his facile speaking skills could even put him in the White House.

In a very real way, he has been a young man in a very big hurry. Who else do you know has written two memoirs before the age of 45? "Dreams of My Father" was published in 1995when he was only 34 years old. The "Audacity of Hope" followed in 2006. If, indeed, he did write them himself. There are some who think that his mentor and friend, Bill Ayers, a man who calls himself a "communist with a small 'c'" was the real author.

His political skills consisted of rarely voting on anything that might be deemed
controversial. He went from a legislator in the Illinois legislature to the
Senator from that state because he had the good fortune of having Mayor Daley's
formidable political machine at his disposal.

He was in the U.S. Senate so briefly that his bid for the presidency was either an act of astonishing self-confidence or part of some greater game plan that had been determined before he first stepped foot in the Capital. How, many must wonder,
was he selected to be a 2004 keynote speaker at the Democrat convention that nominated
John Kerry when virtually no one had ever even heard of him before?

He outmaneuvered Hillary Clinton in primaries. He took Iowa by storm. A charming young man, an anomaly in the state with a very small black population, he oozed "cool" in a place where agriculture was the antithesis of cool. He dazzled the locals. And he had an army of volunteers drawn to a charisma that hid any real substance.

And then he had the great good fortune of having the Republicans select one of the most inept candidates for the presidency since Bob Dole. And then John McCain did something crazy. He picked Sarah Palin, an unknown female governor from the very distant state of Alaska . It was a ticket that was reminiscent of 1984's Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro and they went down to defeat.

The mainstream political media fell in love with him. It was a schoolgirl crush with febrile commentators like Chris Mathews swooning then and now over the man. The venom directed against McCain and, in particular, Palin, was extraordinary.


Now, nearly a full year into his first term, all of those gilded years leading up to the White House have left him unprepared to be President. Left to his own instincts, he has a talent for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. It swiftly became a joke that he could not deliver even the briefest of statements without the ever-present Tele-Prompters.

Far worse, however, is his capacity to want to "wish away" some terrible realities,
not the least of which is the Islamist intention to destroy America and enslave the West. Any student of history knows how swiftly Islam initially spread. It knocked on the doors of Europe, having gained a foothold in Spain .

The great crowds that greeted him at home or on his campaign "world tour" were no substitute for having even the slightest grasp of history and the reality of a world filled with really bad people with really bad intentions.

Oddly and perhaps even inevitably, his political experience, a cakewalk, has
positioned him to destroy the Democrat Party's hold on power in Congress because
in the end it was never about the Party. It was always about his communist ideology,
learned at an early age from family, mentors, college professors, and extreme leftist
friends and colleagues.

Obama is a man who could deliver a snap judgment about a Boston police officer who arrested an "obstreperous" Harvard professor-friend, but would warn Americans against "jumping to conclusions" about a mass murderer at Fort Hood who shouted "Allahu Akbar." The absurdity of that was lost on no one. He has since compounded this by calling the Christmas bomber "an isolated extremist" only to have to admit a day or two later that he was part of an al Qaeda plot.

He is a man who could strive to close down our detention facility at Guantanamo even though those released were known to have returned to the battlefield against America . He could even instruct his Attorney General to afford the perpetrator of 9/11 a civil trial when no one else would ever even consider such an obscenity.
And he is a man who could wait three days before having anything to say about the
perpetrator of yet another terrorist attack on Americans and then have to elaborate
on his remarks the following day because his first statement was so lame.

The pattern repeats itself. He either blames any problem on the Bush administration
or he naively seeks to wish away the truth.

Knock, knock. Anyone home? Anyone there? Barack Obama exists only as the sock puppet of his handlers, of the people who have maneuvered and manufactured this pathetic individual's life.

When anyone else would quickly and easily produce a birth certificate, this man has spent over a million dollars to deny access to his. Most other documents, the paper trail we all leave in our wake, have been sequestered from review. He has lived a make-believe life whose true facts remain hidden.

Our world could be a lot safer and peaceful without Hezbollah, Hamas or a growing group in our country who consider themselves victimized by society, because they don't have everything they want. It is unfortunate their methods resort to suppress, sometimes with violence, the rights of others who don't accept their unfounded anger legitimate.

Many will work their tail off to get something for nothing, but when it comes to earning it, ambition and energy is nowhere to be found, except on the dole line. These agitators may not have a name like Hezbollah or Hamas, but motive, make-up and agenda is not that different.

Hiding under the umbrella of "Civil Rights" makes a mockery of those words. They are advocates for Political Correctness to handcuff free expression, so they can accuse and label anyone straying from their idea of what correct-ness is, racist and bigots. But in truth, they are the bigots and racists.

Most in this nameless group are illiterate or uneducated and like lemmings, follow a few con men who promise everything but deliver nothing while filling their coffers with loot and power. This combination is dangerous and detrimental to our harmony and security. Yet we allow them protection under the first amendment. The venom spewed by the con men and media commenting on the Faith and Honor rally on August 28th at the Lincoln Memorial is evidence.

Like medicine designed to save life, if abused it can prove deadly. The abuse of the first amendment and political correctness go hand in hand, and those who contest our constitution and American way, have become skilled and proficient using this for their advantage.
